... i had the tripod, a remote shutter release and the 70-200 f4L on the D40... all should have been perfect except i never checked the direction of the wind. The smoke headed right for the VA side of the Potomac. I had to shoot vertical... I should have moved further back and north... from Key Bridge perhaps. Oh well... there is always next year.
