Rally to Restore Sanity and/or March to Keep Fear Alive...

... Shots from the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert Rally to Restore Sanity / March to Keep Fear Alive extravaganza in DC, all using the Tilt-Shift lens to add some visual punch.

This is what politics should be... an undisguised Halloween Costume gathering amongst friendly people all rubbernecking to see who has the coolest signs.  Those that actually protested using real signs were simply douche bags.  Who cares, go home... and stop jamming up my Metro System.  The rally was just plain fun with smiles all around.. no yelling, no hatred.. sure there was no way in hell you could get close enough to the stage to see (or hear) anything... but just being there was simply enough.

Only in DC can you see a Storm Trooper, a Penis, Captain America and a Grizzly Bear all together in the same day.

I love this city!

Claude Moore Colonial Farm...

... til-shift lens at a working 18th Century Farm in McLean, VA.  Unlike most places, the re-enactors were not so creepy.

You can do Magic...

... witness the magic of George Bradley, who has been providing magic-for-hire to the DC area for over 20 years.  Don't be afraid, but just know that he is a member of the The International Brotherhood of Magicians as well as The Magic Circle in London, UK.  This is not Hairy Potter - this is the real deal.

He really does put on a good show and was a good sport at a picnic I attended last weekend.
