Things I Wrote Before My First Kiss (Play)...

... Shots from a tech rehearsal of the play "Things I Wrote Before My First Kiss" written and directed by Pamela Leahigh and performed by the Lazy B Theatre Troupe for the 5th Annual Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC.

The plays were written by Pamela when she was 12 years old.. before her first kiss and will really appeal to anyone nostalgic for the days of 21 Jump Street and Doogie Howser MD.  This seems to escape the attention of the Fringe reviewers... but the audience loves it!

These shots were done with flash on camera, no bounce due to the high and dark wood ceiling.  No AC led to the actors sweating profusely during the shoot... and one of the principal actors was missing - but hey, you get what you can.

Go see the show - you can still catch the 18 Jul and 25 Jul 10 performances at the Apothecary, 1013 7th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001

Coyote Ugly Moscow...

... because I HAD to go to one Moscow Club.. this touristy place was probably the cheapest to get into.  It turned pretty crazy around 0100, which is when i left and if I had stayed, who knows what i would have captured.

Apparently anyone (female) can get on the bar to dance... which was nice.  Truth is, everyone there was nice... in a good way... from the customers to the bartenders.  It was the second-most fun I had in that city.

Moscow at night...

... these are the pictures I am most proud of... and were the second most fun to take during my trip.  Just me and one other photog enthusiast (grin)... wandering Moscow with a tripod (me with a large joby) playing with light (and lack of).  Red Square, the Bolshoi, St. Basils and Christ Church.

Long shutter speeds and small apertures.
Zooming in and out to taste.
Six hours well spent.

Next time, must remember when the public transportation closes.  It was a long walk back to the hotel.
